Florida law mandates that all food service/food handler employees under the jurisdiction of the Division of Business and Professional Regulation/Division of Hotels and Restaurants (DBPR) complete an approved food service training program which lasts for 3-years from the date of completion within 60-days of employment or face fines of up to $1,000, in addition to other potential penalties.
